WALLGREENS: FIRED FOR COUPONS
Our Walgreens is a mile away. Corner of 550 and 313 in Bernalillo. Many of the customers are pueblo Indians and many employees are Natives. Nancy is a seventy-year-old Jemez native
that has worked there for nine years, until she was fired for giving out coupons.
Zach, the manager said “There is nothing I can do.” And “I cannot talk about it.”
And “It is company policy.” And “I can be fired for taking a coke and not paying for it.”
Really? The manager too? What happened to Justice? The writer Sara Rosen recently wrote
and used the term neofuedlalism. Feudalism! That prior to Fascism. The two largest
US employers are Walmart’s and Amazon. What does it do the people who work
in those places? What does it do to there children? A Native American who worked
for nine years in the Walgreens in the Rio Grande Valley, which has been occupied by Native Americans for a thousand years is fired without recourse? “It’s company policy.” If I had ten life times I’d stand outside with a sign “Don’t shop in this Walgreens.” On a minor note
I lost my original IG over a hacked password and could not reach a human at META to reclaim it. Feudalism. That’s when they used the rack, put heads on spikes, and paid farmers
by letting them eat a portion of what they grew. Go see or read How to Blow Up A Pipeline.
Seems like a wonderful idea.

Ya’ateh
Just as crazy as it ever was…
They can control everything except our spirit.
Good one
